UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL WELCOMES NEW CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCESOFFICERUniversity Hospital has selected Raquel D. Morian as its new Chief HumanResources Officer. As part of the executive team, she will be responsible for the hospital's human resources strategy and operations; talent management, including recruitment and leadership development; compensation and benefits; and labor relations. Raquel joins University Hospital at a wonderfully exciting time, is fully prepared to work with her leadership colleagues to further UH’s focus on serving the city of Newark and the state of New Jersey through exceptional care and collaboration.Of the new appointment Ed Jimenez, President and Chief Executive Officer of University Hospital, says “We are pleased to welcome Raquel to the University Hospital family. She is a seasoned professional who has the experience and knowledge to advance the day-to-day focus on theemployees of University Hospital. The value she brings to UH employees with serviceability and care will support each individual in the organization and continue to grow and foster the environment of excellence and elite patient care that we strive for daily.”Raquel D. Morian joins UH from her position as Human Resources Director and Head of Talent Management at RWJBarnabas Health Systems, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. During her time there, she was tasked in part with actively developing and implementing talent acquisition, retention, and integrated staffing strategies, offering direct assistance to all departments to enhance organizational development, and developing workforce planning programs. Raquel has additional experience across industries, including as the HR Director for Rockland County Community College and the HR Director, Talent Management for the American Civil Liberties Union. Raquel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Metropolitan College of New York and a Master of Business Administration from Adelphi University.“I am delighted to join the wonderful community of superior healthcare professionals at University Hospital. We embrace the value of each person and are sensitive to each individual's unique and diverse needs. Diely Martinez, one of our trilingual interpreters, is a fantastic example of how the hospital fosters inclusion and celebrates diversity for our patients. This past Monday, the University Hospital Foundation raised $390,000 at their annual Golf Classic! ⛳️🏌️♀️The UH Foundation exists to secure resources to accelerate University Hospital’s mission to provide exceptional care to every patient, every time. Together, through events like these, UH and our foundation can improve the health of our communities for generations to come!
